Polyurethane Supports

Support is technically referred to mechanical systems, underlying beneath heavy pipelines and equipment. It should be noted that thermal conductivity can occur through the support system, jeopardizing the thermal efficiency of insulated pipelines and equipment. Thus, the supports should consist of insulating elements which efficiently reduce heat transfer. Eventually support systems are conventionally made of high density polyurethane, strengthened polyester or compressed plywood.

Having a very low thermal conductivity index, molding capability and having high density and considerably mechanical pressure strength, polyurethane (PUR) is one of the best materials for support systems.

Polyurethane supports are normally molded into desired shape or been cut by CNC out of bigger blocks. Aluminum foils are used as vapor and moisture retarder. The chassis is made of steel to have adequate mechanical stability.
